Assessment
and feedback
As you come towards the later stages of your action plan you will have a good indication of your readiness to request your matrix Assessment.
When you feel the time is right, you instigate the process by contacting the Accreditation Body directly and making a formal Request for Assessment. The contact details are on this website and you can also download the Request for Assessment (RfA) form by clicking here (Word).
Within your organisation, make sure to keep everyone informed of the stage you are at, and provide a more detailed explanation of the process to anyone that may be included directly in the Assessor's interview schedule or visit.
The person leading on the matrix Journey in your organisation needs to be clear about the Assessment process, and the time and costs involved. If you have been working with a matrix Adviser they will have kept you on track and answered all your questions along the way. You may wish to download the scoping framework to help you understand how long your Assessment may take. Click here to download the scoping framework.
The Assessor will conclude their on-site visit by giving you immediate feedback on your matrix Assessment, and telling you whether your service meets the requirements of the matrix Standard.
For the purposes of Assessment there is a presumption that the organisation will use its own methods for interpretation, advocacy and translation when these services are required for Assessment. Should there be any costs for these during the Assessment, the organisation being Assessed may have to cover them.
