Kenya Community Support Network

Kenya Community Support Network, or KCSN, is a charitable organisation based in Forest Gate, London. Its mission is to support the African community to improve their quality of life and enjoy active participation in society.

A small team delivers an extremely diverse menu of IAG, from imigration, housing and employment, to sexual health.

Much of the work is delivered via outreach at flexible times, by visiting clients in their homes, and by working wih local churches and the wider community to raise awareness of IAG provision.

To offer such a broad service with limited resources, it works in collaboration with an extensive range of specialist partners and agencies, and places a high priority on giving its volunteers the best possible support and development. It achieved the matrix Standard in 2006 for its external IAG support to the team.

The matrix Judges immediately recognised Excellence in KCSN’s use of the matrix Journey to manage its resources effectively and creatively, through exemplary signposting and partnership work, and first-class team building based on shared values.
